Cultural and Creative Competition Finals

On June 20th, Gehua CATV Cup•2019 Beijing Cultural and Creative Competition Fengtai Division and 2019 Fengtai Cultural and Creative Competition Finals successfully ended in the YAFOLABS Roadshow Hall of the Pomegranate Center. After the heated competition, six projects stood out, and the project of Na Shi Ci won the championship. Nearly 100 people gathered at the stadium to witness the success of the event, including Mr. Mei Song, Counsel of Beijing Municipal Publicity Department and Director of the Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center, Mr. Liang Jiafeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Fengtai District Communist Committee, Director of the Publicity Department of Fengtai District, Ms. Wu Jing,  Party Secretary and Director of the Fengtai District Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center, and many expert judges, investors, entrepreneurial tutors, heads of the industry associations and cultural and creative enterprises, and the media representatives.

Fengtai Municipal Committee has held the cultural and creative competitions for four consecutive years in order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the spirit of the 19th Party Congress, promote the construction of a national cultural center and accelerate the accumulation of cultural and creative industries.


Guided by Beijing Municipal Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center, Fengtai Municipal Publicity Department, the competition themed Make Efforts in the New Era and Win the Future with Creativity is hosted by Fengtai District Cultural and Creative Industry Promotion Center, organized by Beijing Zoom Technology Incubator Co., Ltd., co-organized by Beijing Guoshu Entrepreneurship Innovation Business Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhongdu Taihe Technology Company Incubator Co., Ltd.,, Beijing Shouke Chuangrong Technology Incubator Co., Ltd., Beijing Shell Jinggong Fashion Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Yongle Yikang Investment Management Co., Ltd., with special support from Bank of Beijing Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch. The competition aims to stimulate the innovation and entrepreneurship of cultural talents in Fengtai District through the platform of the creative competition, explore and attract outstanding cultural and creative projects, and guide the social resources to support the development of cultural and creative industries.


In addition, to facilitate more high-quality cultural and creative projects, the competition created a total of 200 square meters of cultural and creative space as a “Fengtai District Cultural Creative Entrepreneurship Service Platform” with a free period of one year; at the same time, there are many other beneficial measures including cash rewards, special promotion of Fengtai Daily , listing in the Fengtai District Cultural and Creative Talent Pool etc.


Since the announcement of the project collection on May 31, more than 100 projects have been signed up for the competition involving many areas of intangible culture heritage, IP development, digital publishing, creative design, and cultural education etc. After screened by the organizing committee, a total of 90 projects participated in the preliminary round of road shows, which were held on June 17, 18, and 19 at the Guoshu Base, Yongle, Zhongdu Technology, Shouke Chuangrong, Pomegranate Center, and Shell Jinggong. A total of 15 projects were selected for the finals.

In the final competition, Mr. Ma Xiaoping, General Manager of Dingshi Tianyuan Investment (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhao Yu, General Manager of Beijing Dongfang Jiacheng Information Consulting Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhang Tao, General Manager of Beijing Tianchenji Investment Management Co., Ltd., Mr. Li Qiang, President and investor of Beijing Futai Fund Management Co., Ltd., Mr. Yu Renguo, the founding partner of Modou Investment and co-founder of Dream City are invited as the entrepreneurship mentor, and many other industry experts and investors are invited to review and guide the project.

After the final road show competition, the project Na Shi Ci won the first prize, SMART Education, Rongxue Academy won the second prize, the First set of Drama Broadcast Gymnastics,  and the calligraphy all-media teaching platform by Zhongban Education won the third prize. The projects of "Spiritual Core  World" - original IP combined with robot technology to turn science fiction into reality, the First set of Drama Broadcast Gymnastics and Na Shi Ci were awarded the "Creative Potential of the Year", “Entrepreneurship Popularity Award”, and “Most Investable  Award of the Year” respectively. The winning projects that meet the requirements will also be recommended to enter the Gehua CNTV Cup  2019 Beijing Cultural and Creative Competition Rematch.

At the award ceremony, Director Mei Song made a concluding speech. He fully affirmed the results of the Fengtai Division of the competition, which  indicate that the number of participating projects in Fengtai District is among the best in the city. The organization of the event is efficient and orderly, and the project has characteristics with high quality. He congratulated the award-winning project, praising them for their content, creativity, technology. For projects without awards, he encouraged them to persistent in making efforts. He also said that the Fengtai Cultural and Creative Competition was more eye-catching than last year, and the organization of the event has made a great contribution to the economic development and social development of Fengtai.

Introduction to the Award-winning project

[Na Shi Ci]


Before liberation,  China was a society dominated by farming culture, and large animals were hard to obtain. Therefore, the leather carving was only accepted and popular among the aristocratic class. Carved boots, scabbards, and saddles are all documented and culturally supported. After the liberation, the skin carving skill was once lost. Na Shi Ci leather art workshop created the Chinese style leather carving on the basis of retrieving the ancient art and the western leather carving. Because the technical barriers of leather carving are very high, there is no imitation, which makes the products very competitive in the domestic and international high-end market. Many of our designs are inspired by the products exhibited in the Forbidden City. Just like the saying that "pictures must be intentional, meaning will be auspicious". To promote Chinese culture should be more than just a sentence. It needs a carrier for people to implement in the daily wear and appliance so that they can truly love and accept it. In this way, the Chinese folk culture can walk out of the museum and be better promoted and spread. Therefore, our suitcase is a "wearable art, a fashion carrier of national culture."
