On September 6, 2019 Beijing International Design Week Design Tour - Pomegranate Design Festival officially opened at the Stamford Plaza of Pomegranate Center. Mr. Huang Chunlei, deputy director of the Beijing International Design Week Organizing Committee Office, Mr. Ma Zhe, Partner of Yingnuo Innovation Space, and Mr. Xu Zhenfeng, general manager of the Pomegranate Central Park, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Nearly 20 media representatives and cultural, artistic and design representatives gathered to experience the future prospects of the culture, technology and design. At the unique launching ceremony, the leaders and distinguished guests of the conference Future opened the design festival jointly with the robot NK-01from Future Wise (Zhizaoweilai).
Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, Beijing International Design Week is a large-scale cultural event with international influence. In cooperation with the National Creative Industrial Heritage Park – 751 D PARK Beijing Fashion Design Plaze, Inno Creation Space, a modern creative complex under Inno Angel Fund for the first time, the Pomegranate Design Festival organizer Pomegranate Center made joint efforts to promote the integration of design and technology, so that the technology innovation can be closer to and serving the people's lives both in regards of the research and appliance to realize the people's imagination and vision for future life.
It is said that this design festival will last 7 days from September 6th to 12th, covering three major sections of Pomegranate Future Lifestyle Exhibition, Pomegranate Lifestyle Forum and Pomegranate Fair. With the theme of “future lifestyle”, it hopes, through the display of future life, to attract more people to pay attention to the delicate design of the science and technology to positively influence and change people's future life, so that people can realize the changes and conveniences to the lifestyle due to the design and technological progress and promote the integration and development of the science and technology innovation industry.
As the highlight of the Pomegranate Design Festival, the “Future Lifestyle Show” brings together the latest achievements of technology incubation, mainly focusing on the three main areas of Future • Home, Future • Office and Future • Community. It will present the data communities construction including materials, AI smart applications, and green energy environment, and show the changes in people's lifestyles caused by smart office and other prospective technologies, such as the first commercial self-driving low-speed electric car in China, wireless vacuum cleaner, Samsung Alpha Mini portable robot, Ninebot karts. The audience will also have the opportunity to experience the 5G version mobile phone of the Samsung Galaxy Note10, the super unmanned airplane Power Egg that supports 4k HD shooting, 5km image transmission, and 23min battery life.
While experiencing how the many future-oriented scientific and technological achievements create more possibilities for a better future, this pomegranate design festival will also hold the “Pomegranate Fair” from September 6th to 8th. It is said that the first event of the Pomegranate Fair, "Children's Fun", was staged at the Pomegranate Center a week ago. The Pomegranate Fair themed Future Lifestyles will stage many creative products such as MNUUCN, PHOTO ONE, Le Yin, LA SANTE, Duxiang, BWPARK, and ARSIS, etc., to let people experience an extraordinary technology fair.
In addition, this design festival also has the “Pomegranate Lifestyle Forum” with two sessions. As the great combination of the technology and design, the two forums of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Sharing Session” and “Design Allowing Better Technology” will be held on September 11th and 12th.
The organizer of the Pomegranate Design Festival, Pomegranate Center, is the first batch of Zhongguancun sub-center invested and operated by the private enterprises.
