On July 7, Entrepreneurship Fengtai 2021, the preliminary competition of Veterans Entrepreneurship Innovation Competition was held in the Veterans Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base in Fengtai.
The competition was jointly organized by Fengtai Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, Fengtai Municipal Veterans Service Center, and Beijing Zoom Tech Incubator Co., Ltd. With the theme of Glory of Military Personnel with Unlimited Entrepreneurship, the competition has three tracks of Emerging Industry, Traditional Industry and Service Industry, and the Innovation Team. The participating teams will have 8-minutes on-site roadshow, and 5-minutes interactive defense, and then the judges will score according to their performance. The 16 groups of contestants will be on the stage to present in terms of project background, demand analysis, target objectives, implementation plans, feasibility and expected results. A panel of expert judges composed of entrepreneurial mentors, industry experts, and investors reviewed, scored and responded to the participating teams and commented on each group.
In the end, the "Beijing Qiuguo Hotel" project won the first prize, the projects of "Smart Diaper Monitor" and "Intelligent Epidemic Prevention & Control" won the second prize, the projects of "China Veteran Talents", the " Customized Service and Development of Nanobody" and the "Research and Development of Inhibitors for Spectral Virus Infection" won the third prize. The "Intelligent Protection of Road Traffic Safety" project won the "Annual Innovation Potential Award", the "Printer Sharing Platform Manager" project won the "Annual Entrepreneurship Popularity Award", the "Organoid Medical Test" project won the "Annual Most Valuable Investment Award".
Ms. Liu Shuyu, director of the Fengtai Municipal Veterans Affairs Bureau, presented the awards to the winners and delivered a speech. She said that veterans were an indispensable force in the modernization of socialism with Chinese characteristics and an important human resource for the party and the country. She wished that the veterans could carry forward the fine traditions of the military and strive to become a new force for innovation and entrepreneurship in Fengtai. As a department to provide service and guarantee for veterans, we will work with all parties to care for veterans, build employment platforms, and help realize their entrepreneurial dreams. We would strive to help more veterans to keep their original aspirations and actively invest in innovation and entrepreneurship, with the aim to achieve more success and contribute to the development of Fengtai.
To attract the outstanding projects, the competition organizing committee provides generous "reward service packages" and preferential policy support. The winning projects will be included in the database of the Veterans Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition Projects, recommended to the Beijing Veterans Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition and rewarded training, incubation and consulting services. Besides the bonus awarded by the competition organizing committee, the winning projects can also be given priority to get the investment intention of Zoom Tech up to 5 million, use the international shared office of 100 square meters for free for one year, and have a guaranteed loan for entrepreneurs up to 3 million provided by Fengtai municipal human resources and social security bureau.
Lasted for nearly one month, it was a special competition of the "Entrepreneurship Fengtai 2021"- Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, adopting a new process of enrollment, publicity, review, and recommendation, covering many fields such as biomedicine, Internet technology, artificial intelligence, and life services etc. Amon them, there are industries with independent research and flexible development and application, and new concepts that break through traditional marketing. The participants are mainly various entities and start-up teams founded by veterans from Fengtai District. To enrich the roadshow experience and competition skills of the veterans, the competition organizers carried out various pre-match training to enhance their confident and rewarding. Through the screening of outstanding entrepreneurial projects and the building of a service platform, the competition organizers will lead entrepreneurship with innovation, drive employment with entrepreneurship, and guide the veterans to participate in the economic construction and promote social development in Fengtai.
