In order to thoroughly implement the national strategic plan for poverty alleviation and actively respond to the national call of targeted poverty alleviation policy, on the afternoon of August 29th, Xu Zhenfeng, the general manager of Beijing Stanford Technology Incubator Co., Ltd., Shi Wei, the deputy general manager, and other colleagues went to Beixinzhuang Village, Laiyuan County, Hebei Province to make the donation Ten Thousand Enterprises Help Ten Thousand Villages.
The Laiyuan County is located at the intersection of Taihang Mountain, Yanshan Mountain and Hengshan Mountain. Although an old revolutionary base, Laiyuan County is a state poverty county. As one of the most remote mountain villages in Laiyuan County, Beixinzhuang Village has harsh natural environment. With 6 natural villages under its jurisdiction, it was selected as severve poverty village in 2016 and were included in the overall relocation village for poverty alleviation.
To help the poverty eradication for the poverty villages in Laiyuan county, Stanford Technology Incubator organized professionals to go to the frontline to donate epidemic prevention supplies and daily necessities, so that the needy villagers can feel the care and warmth.
This donation activity received strong support from Beixinzhuang Village Committee and the villagers. At the donation ceremony, Zhang Yusheng, the secretary of CPC Beixinzhuang Village Branch, expressed his gratitude to Beijing Stanford Technology Incubator.
Secretary Zhang Yusheng said: “This donation of Stanford Technology Incubator reflects its social responsibility to enthusiastically participate in the undertaking of poverty alleviation and its care for the groups who are in difficulty.”
After the donation, both parties conducted the in-depth exchanges on the current situation of poverty alleviation in Beixinzhuang Village and the development of agricultural and sideline industries.
Poverty alleviation is not only the responsibility of the government, but also an obligation of the enterprises. Beijing Stanford Technology Incubator will give full play to its resource advantages, connect Laiyuan County to the agricultural product sales platform in Beijing, and provide internships and employment support for the college students from the poverty-stricken mountain villages, help the poverty alleviation project and industrial development of
Laiyuan County, and promote Laiyuan County to realize poverty eradication as scheduled.
